Our information skills series continues with Embase and Scopus classes now on offer.
For those of you who aren't aware, Embase is a major pharmacological, biomedical and drug information database - the European equivalent of Medline. It contains a large number of full text articles from journals published worldwide.
Scopus is a large multidisciplinary database covering published material in the humanities and sciences. It also provides citation analysis of authors and subject areas. i.e. discover how often, and by whom and particular article has been cited, and track major research trends within a subject area.
