The CONSORT Statement is minimum set of recommendations for reporting randomized controlled trials. Researchers are able to prepare and report their randomized controlled trial findings in a standard way, enabling readers to understand the trial design and interpretation and assess the validity of its results.
Authors report by using a 22-item checklist on the content: Title , abstract, results and discussion, and a flow diagram which displays the progress of all participants through the trial.
The consort statement is available in 10 different languages. A guide on the CONSORT: "Interpreting and Reporting Clinical Trials” is available in the library
