I hope you had a fantastic break over the summer and are ready for another busy and exciting year. To any newcomers -- welcome! If you have any questions please ask me -- I'd be more than happy to help.
There have been some major developments in the library over the last few months. Here's a taste of what's been happening:
- The library has a new desk! And new carpets! And new express terminals for searching the catalogue! Please check out our refurbishments if you haven't already done so...
- EndNote X2 has been released. Download it here. You can now download the full text of some articles automatically (by right-clicking on a particular reference in your EndNote Library). 'Smart groups' is another new feature -- EndNote will automatically group references found using the same keywords. Discover other new features of EndNote here.
- We have busily been revamping our Subject Guides. These point out key books, journals, databases, websites and reports for each subject area. They also include some handy tips on how to find, evaluate and reference information.
- We are running a range of research and information skills classes during Semester 1. Register for these here. Hint: in the 'Program Search' box type 'health' to find classes at the Health Sciences Library.
Stay tuned for more information and updates...
Have a great year,
